Divine appointments. Moments that you know God set up for you to be used by Him to touch both your life and those around you. This morning, when I was not looking for it, I had one and this after teaching on divine appointments the night before. There is a reason why the bible tells us to be ready in season and out. That we should be able to give an answer for the hope that we have and that we should do this in love. There is a hurting world out there and for me, any time I get to bring Jesus to the forefront, it’s an honor. This also coupled with the fact that it can happen in my gym is even more thrilling. I know that I’ve been called to speak about Christ to all people, but the fitness community has a special place in my heart. Kind of like the way Paul felt about his fellow countrymen. The beauty of it is that my Coach (chapter 5 in my book) has noticed something special. By allowing me to show him the truth of Jesus, others are now seeing Christ in him. They are noticing his changed life which makes the testimony of the power of God even more real to those we know in the gym setting. Now that he is allowing Christ to mold him, our divine appointments are becoming more impacting. Two are agreeing together for the changed lives of those who need Christ. My coach has taught me how to fight in a ring, I am teaching him how to fight the good fight. I love it when the physical discipline and Godly discipleship collide!!!!
